palm pre is awsome with its mutli tasking and qwerty keyboard, and i realy love the screen on the iphone, i have a ipod touch so i have most awsome stuff that the awsome awsome iphone gives so im goeing for the super cool palm pre

I would like to change my view on the Pre after I had the chance to play on one for an hour in a store that my friend manages.
At first I thought it a good device that would give the iPhone a run for its money but now I think it is garbage!
Garbage in construction for sure but the operating system is just as poor.
The multiple apps ability is good only in that the iPhone lacks this but jailbreak it and it is possible.
In short garbage.
Just seems to be the way of YouTube.
In my own defence though, I only tend to bite back after having been bitten myself.
Ancient? I mean, seriously? You have to be kidding me. Apple released incremental updates on the 3GS, aside from the processor, compass, and video recording, it’s not much different than the 3G. In so much, that a lot of people felt it wasn’t worth the upgrade. I would love to get your input on the 3GS after Apple releases it’s newer model (revamped design) soon.

As Kalawun I say the Iphone is more than a smart phone, you guy forgot to talk about the amaizing games you can play on Iphone, the acces to the apple store and other things like the build in compass, wi-fi, maps and location and the most important I consider is that also is an Ipod.

I’m sorry to disappoint you here but I didn’t say it was better, I said it is better in SOME ways, it’s not the same thing.
And for what it is worth I think you will find IT IS all about sales when it comes to the survival of a product.
Hence my point about VHS/Betamax.

The Pre doesn’t stand a chance against the iPhone. Not because it isn’t as good or even better in some ways but it simply comes down to marketing – see the VHS/Betamax war.
The public is a victim when it comes to advertising!
I jailbroke my iPhone and enabled it to do the things (pretty much) the Pre could do that the iPhone couldn’t.
Overall though, I personally think the iPhone is safe from this ‘killer’ as it just seems to plastic and cheap. A good unit none the less though.
Good Video, but i think the iPhone is better because the touchscreen is better and the iPhone is more than a smartphone.
Don’t care for it’s size nor the fact that it has a pop out keyboard; I’ll have to side with the IPhone!
