Use a exhaust fan duct if you have a tower cpu heatsink. Don’t mount the fan on the heatsink, suck the air out with the rear fan instead. As for psu, use PC Power & Cooling Silencer. 90% noise reduction guaranteed.

If you have trouble falling asleep when the PC’s in your room it means your brain isn’t yet drained enough to fall asleep. Therefore get back up and watch a dvd. Leave the dvd play and then you’ll fall asleep why watching it!

Thats the best tip ever…0% noise :P

    19. vidmanx0 says:

      1. Mount the HDD in a 5.25″ bay with elastic bands.

      2. Buy super quiet fans like Scythe or Nexus.

      3. Mount fans using rubber grommets. Don’t use screws at all.

      4. Throw away the stock CPU cooler and buy a high quality heatpipe heatsink from a company like Thermalright or Scythe. Avoid gimmicky companies like Thermaltake or Coolermaster (Usually requires removing the mainboard)

      5. Line the case with Dynamat or similar.

…or just buy an Antec P182 case :P

my comp fan sounds like a blow dryer and i have a dell. would this vid help?

    21. emeraldslay says:

Stabdby turns off the CPU, thereby disabling downloads

    22. walkandlookup says:

Try this: the plastic frontal of your case, carefully cut all the bottom (the part U do not see) in order to increase air intake so there will be less effort for the fans hence the noise

    23. OOIEatte says:

U can also buy sound dampening panels which u use to cover the inside of the case, it works. they don’t work on the case fans, so buy some silent ones instead. Noctua and Nexus are good brands.

    24. laidt0rest says:

      “fan go that way” lol
