You can round that down to about 5 and a half to 6 hours for the MBP 17. Still good though.
yeah, but with apple you pay for the build quality. I guess that’s what makes them so expensive.
all the reviews all say that the biggest disadvantage of the new macbook is no firewire. i have never come across a firewire based product ever so the no firewire doesnt matter to me at all
i hope…
but the new 17″ macbook pro lasts generally around…8 hours or so
the new ones apparently lasts around 5 hours
is the new macbook’s battery life really shorter than the old white ones?
i have to say, that looks rather tempting, but seriously, I built a desktop pc with higher specs for a fraction of the price…

luckily apple are very responsive to customer call outs.
Im happy to bet £10 that with the next mac book there will be a firewire port as there are so many people are complaining and apple is not the company to be in the position of loosing costumers
Though as for the mini display port I can’t bet on you that will change as apple need to be saving space on the mac book itself and a wide amount of the customer basis is not interested in TV connectivity and extra cables are a small price to pay
paul, yungceezy is correct. you simply pronounce aluminum wrong because thats what brits do
No mac is a reference to the hardware and the OS.
Because the iphone is using the hardware for a phone and a cut down version of the OS itself it doesn’t make it a mac.
Though as time goes on I’m pretty confident this phone will become as technical as a mac.
my iphone runs osx so tjat technicaly makes it a mac?
if your pc is using US english, then thats why it’s highlighted.
yes i know but it was named aluminum first then later named aluminium. I should also note that when i typed in aluminium it red underlined it as bad spelling even tho its not.
you know English is British, not American.
That’s the idea behind a mac. It’s a statement to design and creativity.
Not to mention how the mac was built for creative people, that’s why there’s such a divide between people who love windows and people who love OS X
point it macs ar not for everyone, they never will be. And this coming from an apple fanboy, too!
aluminium, i learned a new way of saying aluminum
that will be good
I equally have used Windows since a young age, sure it’s given me some hard times, but so has OS X. Trust me, Windows users don’t need your sympathy, there’s nothing drastically wrong with either platform
and soon to be USB 3.0 so your entirely right
the only reason i dont watch gadget show anymore, is because i live in france and we only have one tv hooked up to the satelite and a) my parents watch the soaps and b) we’re an hour later than england.
If your doing AV stuff it’s probably the way to go. But if you have no experience with them I would test one for a while. I used one at work for a while and was a bit lost at the beginning! This is coming from an experienced Windows, UNIX, Ubuntu, Fedora and BSD user!!!!
I’m pretty sure these guys are paid off by quite a few companies to say certain things. Most certainly not unbias reviews thats for sure. The Macbook looks nice. Pity I don’t watch the show anymore, after they started blantantly lying.
no one use firewire any more now there is USB 2.0
It’s all very well and good moaning about the lack of firewire and full size DVI out, however the industry never properly adopted Firewire and the mini DVI is a real improvement in connectivity.
It’s time to move on and relish evolution in technology. It’s just as while complaining at the lack of SCSI !
