hey thanks man, i finally baught my laptop too (Toshiba Satellite) it has a 1.66ghz processor and 1gb of memory but i will soon upgrade it to 2.. ne ways its running fine with photoshop and other apps, ty for the help
i have 2GB in my 2.4GHZ MacBook and yes it is enough. The more the better, but i do a lot of photoshop and it runs great. I usually have atleast 5-6 app’s open at a time with no problem at all
this video has some really great info but i still need a little help with choosing on what i should buy
would 2 gb of memory be enough to run a couple of pretty heavy programs like photoshop and illustrator for example while having itunes open and having a couple of web browsers up at the same time too?
i was also wondering what kind of processor i would need to do this..

hi ecko! the laptop i’m on now has 2gb of ram, and its PLENTY fast. but if i were to get a macbook, do you think i should get it with two gb of ram? i do A LOT of video editing as you know (webshow and my ipod vids) as you know, the macs come with “iMovie” can it handle these kind of videos (mpg. format) without going very slow? because i’ve never used a mac for editing. so what this all comes down to is, are macbooks or macbookpros good for editing with 2 gb or less of ram? please help!

I think the latest White Macbooks doesnt have anymore discoloration issues… The one that comes with leopard!!

Is the discolouration a defnitite? I mean I am a big fan of the ‘Mac White’….
white has discoloration though so i’d go with …..the black so u dont get the discoloration issue and u start out with the 160 g hard drive so then you dont have to upgrade although i dont know how much 800 pounds is so i dont know if u can afford it on that
