Well yes and no… New notebooks don’t have PCMCIA slots, they’re equipped with a single ExpressCard slot. I typically reserve my ExpressCard slot for a Yoggie device or other high-bandwidth unit. The point being made is, “why should I have to use up my ExpressCard slot to get the funcitonality of a port that should be standard equipment?”

I’m of the same mind. Lack of firewire has been a killer for many a notebook. However, we’re starting to make our transition to HD video from solid-state storage and firewire is becoming less important. — Still, I totally understand your dissapointment because I share in it!

Great laptop. I have the Gateway M series, not as good but if I think its good, then this is awesome.
Most of these “UPLOADED VIDEO” have been edited. For example, puting the site name some time in the video, title, credits, info, or annotations. Everyone who has an account on here had an “official” YouYube account.

This unit is nice but my acer aspier 7730 in my eyes is better cos i hate gloss bodys and i love my dolby sound on my laptop there almost the same size and can offer the same options yes its better grathics but wat it is acer seems to have this type of laptop wins around $800 but nice show keep it up Fr.
