If the window is letting in rain it is not performing the job for which is was designed. Most well designed windows allow adequate ventilation even in rainy conditions. Therefore it is safe to assume that the window is broken (or shit). Oh, and it’s genius, not genious, genius! ;o)

Sure they did. Besides the obvious of moving the machine away from the window to prevent rain damage before it could happen, they suggested – albeit jokingly – to cover the computer with plastic or an umbrella. They even suggested turning off the fan for the computer so it is so hot that it immediatly dries any moisture before it reaches any electrical circuits. Humorous. A very silly question, given the design of the machine.
