live.pirillo.com – When I posted an email recently from TheDub, I received a lot of negative feedback. My answer remains if your laptop doesn’t run well after upgrading to Vista, you can always go back to XP. TheDub also sent me a new email, telling me about a free tool to help with Vista performance on laptops.

leave Vista alone, Vista haters! it might be bad on your pc, but then leave the people who really like it alone, and stop saying it sucks, just because it doesnt really work for you
lol mine still works!
its a memory hog.
Why should i disable Aero ?
Vista sucks. Windows 7 is much better.
Good tips but you should mention all of the tips and not waste the video dwelling on negative (or stupid) comments from others.
Otherwise, I really appreciate your help!
1. Install more RAM
2. Get a faster graphics card
3. Change Power Options (Control Panel) to high performance
4. Defrag the hard drive
5. Disable Aero
6. Increase mouse-tracking speed
7. Disable some services
8. Disable some virus checkers
I have AVG, Norton & Windows Defender running … probably not necessary.

amen
If your computer doesn’t have the best hardware then vista will run very slow on it. There is nothing wrong with it unless you have bad system specs. If u really think it’s hogging system resources, then wait till windows 7 comes out.
very well said pal.
yeah thats true
Lol people dont understand.
IF you are going to use vista then you need to use it on a computer that has it pre-installed. Here you will find a computer with the specs you need for vista and it is by no means slow.
